"The rooms are very claustrophobic with nowhere to put your things. No wardrobes, cupboards, or even a small shelf, so all your belongings have to go on the floor. There are zero amenities in the room ( no tv, iron, hairdryer, kettle etc) just one towel each and one pillow each, thin duvet and extremely basic lumpy mattress. Rooms really clean but corridors filthy and carpets full of stains. Signage to rooms needs to be much clearer. Location incredible and staff helpful however. Just not a fair price vs what you get (especially vs the main basic chain hotels)."

"Lovely hotel in great location for Theatres. Hotel is very modern and room was small but functional. We had basic room which was fine for a night or 2. Would not be suitable if you had mobility issues as you have to climb over one another to get into bed. Tea and coffee facilities are in rooms, hair dryer and lovely toiletries. Was beautifully clean. Hotel is a bit quirky but I would definitely stay here again"

"The rooms are very small and make it difficult to live out of a large suitcase. However, I will say that this is probably the quietest hotel that I have ever been in, which was unexpected in the heart of London. I appreciated the availability of bottled filtered water and in-room coffee maker. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for solo travellers."

"Only booked here because I had to stay in London last minute and there were few choices. £280 for a box prison cell room in which I lay contemplating how I could have got a limousine ride home for less. However as a hotel the location is pretty decent and this would suit a lot of people when rates are lower. Having to check yourself in and out is a bit of self serve joke though, service non existent"

"Housekeeping was a little rough. We had to keep asking for wash clothes. I stayed at this same hotel in August and we had robes, slippers, toothbrushes and there was none of that. I had ask for wash clothes twice and they didn’t do a great at cleaning the room.. completely different experience."

"The bad : The lifts DO NOT WORK! One is permanently broken and the other one worked for part of 2 days and not at all 2 days. This tarnished our stay here because walking up 6 flights of stairs is not my idea of fun after being out exploring the city and again after dinner. It is clear the owners of the hotel will not pay to upgrade the lifts as reading reviews this goes back over a year. Not fair on staff having to deal with upset customers and not fair on customers paying good money. Someone is going to seriously injure themselves one day. And what if someone had a medical emergency and paramedics can’t get up quickly to upper floors. Not impressed. Sewer smell in bathroom. Aircon like the lifts, worked intermittently. Some staff ignored customers coming through reception. The good : decent size room for London. Some staff were lovely and helpful and very apologetic. Great location. Soundproof rooms despite busy spot on the square. If they could guarantee fixing the lifts properly my review would be much higher."
