"We found The Duke to be 5star. Everything was perfect, especially the delightful young staff. Always smiling and very helpful. Decor was very sophisticated and stylish. All the meals were delicious and served on lovely hot plates!!!!!!!!! We will definitely return for another break. Thank you Duke team."

"So glad to have discovered this place- off the main roads. The whole experience was great- staff were lovely, dogs were made welcome too! Like stepping into an Agatha Christie movie, beautiful furnishings of an era in history. The grounds were well maintained and we loved the Monet Garden - with deer resting near the pond, all very magical. Definitely worth an annual visit "

"I’ll stay at South lawns could not have been any better, the staff are very attentive, the food in the evening was excellent, the breakfast was outstanding, this is a hotel I would recommend to anyone, and we look forward to our next stay."

"Nice rooms over a pub. Stayed here for convenience of getting to the Isle of Wight ferry. Very helpful staff. Good food and drinks Traveling with heavy luggage, beware- No elevator. Staff will help carry it! Would stay here again. "
