This still operates as a 'love hotel' as well as a tourist hotel but it is very discreet and the love hotel aspect did not impinge on our 4 night stay at all. The hotel is very clean, reasonably modern and the room we had was huge with a nice relaxing space and very quiet despite being in a lively part of town. On that point - the hotel is on the edge of the red-light district but never felt unsafe; go one block one way and your in the red light district, go the other way and you wouldn't know you were near it.
Three metro stations within 8 minutes walk, including the very confusing Shinjuku station.
One thing here is you very rarely meet any staff - at the small front desk they are behind frosted glass but this didn't present any problems.
I loved our stay here. The room was huge and had basically a whole spa in it. There was a huge jet tub that was so nice after all the walking. The area is fun, I now understand the adults only vibe and we loved it. Super convenient to walking everywhere and they have you leave your key with them which is great for someone like me so you don’t lose it. Highly highly recommend.
My bf and i absolutely loved our stay! We had the superior room(i think?) and it was perfect! So spacious with the perfect shower and bath tub combo! We appreciated the robs and slippers that the room offered as well as the free waters and other items(for purchase). Stuff was very helpful and nice. Verrry convenient area. Every thing walking distance😍 will definitely be booking again!
Very big room for Tokyo, very nice bath and Sauna and all of the other facilities. Everything worked very well.
However, bed was way too hard for my taste and harder than other places in Tokyo.
Amazing hotel, total luxury in all of its amenities. Perfect location in regards to restaurants, bars, clubs, cafes. The staff are so polite and the level of cleaning in the room on a daily basis is superb. The rooms so quiet as it’s just off the main road whilst only remaining a couple of minutes walk from the centre.
It was very comfortable for a Tokyo hotel. They had many accommodations for us and also a gift. It was very clean and they were as helpful as can be considering two different languages would definitely return.
Stayed for a week. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Hotel is nearby plenty of restaurants and close to Shinjuku station.
Considered this hotel for 2 overnight stays. Everything was immaculate. The amenities were beyond my expectations. The staff were friendly. I would stay here again. Very satisfied!
The Hotel D-wave is one of Japanese’s “Love hotel” which if you Google isn’t anything sinister, and gave us no problems over the week.
On the plus side, friendlyhotel and staff in the real hear of everything in Shinjuku y de
The room was quite spacious per Japan standards and the bathroom was exceptionally large and well equiped with a jacuzzi tub on top of the shower set up. The room also had a sauna and massage chair - very rare. The only downsides were the location in the Shinjuku district that was a bit out there - not unsafe, just more dirty and such. The room also did not have windows, which was a surprise.
Staff is great, the hotel rooms are really nice. If you aren’t familiar with these types of hotels in Tokyo then I recommend looking elsewhere if you are solo or staying with family. It’s more of an hourly or day rate hotel. Very nice rooms but smells like cigarettes everywhere inside the hotel. Bali hotels offer more for food and drinks
