"What a wonderful surprise this hotel was! I chose it because of its location to the train station and the bus station - we were there just 1 night before our flight home. The rooms have recently been updated and it was lovely! The bed was comfy and the bathroom roomy and the best shower we had in our 2 week trip. Plus we had a canal view! "First of all the location is mere steps from the Piazza San Marco and getting to sit by the window and watch the gondolas and the people going about their day was cute. I love the bottle of champagne that the hotel provided for me and the staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I didn't take a water taxi to the hotel but I did take one when I transferred to my next place and it's definitely easier than lugging your suitcase through the streets. "The location was wonderful, right on the Canal and across the canal from the train station. We had a beautiful junior suite that was spacious and faced the canal. The staff was amazing. They carried bags when the lift was being repaired, arranged transportation to the airport, gave directions, made dinner reservations, and even packed us breakfast to go for an early morning flight. It was lovely in every way and we highly recommend."

"Breakfast is great! If you get there early, you can get a table with a canal view. It's a buffet and included in your stay Room is ok. The hotel is 500 years old, so keep that in mind. Room is quiet tho, and everything worked. Location is great! really a 3 min walk to rialto bridge in one direction and 3 min walk to st mark's square in the other direction. plenty of restaurants and shops around the hotel. Service was wonderful. all the staff were friendly and knowledgable and spoke english....

"Easy access from airport via vaporetta, which we used directly from airport. Staff welcome was excellent, and very helpful with recommendations about places to eat. Both our rooms were clean, cool & the beds very comfortable. Quiet in the rooms at night, and easy access to places to eat nearby. Breakfast & the service also excellent, so 5 stars from us!"

"Its a great location- easy access both to quieter parts of Venice either north east or across teh canal and west and walking distance to St Marks and the Rialto. The staff were delightful and helpful. We took our disabled son with us and the stafff could not have been kinder to him. The rooms are a great size and all the facilities worked well- including the air conditioning! The breakfast was good and certainly of a standard to match a 4 * hotel.
