We booked the royal select option (via Expedia) and somehow ended up with VIP and butler service which has been a surprise and a delight. The food is great, there is an adult-only pool, and there are many quiet spots to catch the sun and enjoy the view. Our butler (what a thing to say!) Alejandro was absolutely wonderful, and our breakfast waitress Alicia was kind and remembered our diary-free order for eggs! The staff are super friendly, our room was gorgeous and the gym was well equipped. The first resort I've been to that I'd actually come back to. You also have to do the chichen itza day trip. Thank you so much!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Staff was incredible and very attentive. Food was spectacular. Perfect for low-key vacation spot. We loved having the butler services that would schedule our reservations for dinner book sun beds for the beach and for the pool and also provide us with Anie answers of questions we had about events throughout the day. Alejandro Butler was amazing.

It’s advertised as “Adults Only” BUT IT IS CERTAINLY NOT ADULTS ONLY !! There is an adult section , and only 1 hot jacuzzi and there was tons of children in there. The food was not good, not nearly as much Mexican food as I’d like to see. The night time buffet was disappointing and ended up you t back for room service . The resort itself was nice and staff was great .

We had a villa oceanfront room. It was beautiful 😍 my husband and I had a great time. Jessica was our butler and she did an amazing job making reservations and cabanas. The staff at the bars and restaurants were so good.

Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel cared for, but one person truly made our trip unforgettable: Johan. Johan was, without a doubt, the highlight of our stay. His kindness, attentiveness, and genuine desire to make sure we had the best experience possible stood out every single day. Whether we needed recommendations, help with reservations, or just someone to brighten our morning with great conversation, Johan was always there with the most positive energy. It’s rare to meet someone who not only loves what they do but also makes you feel like a valued guest every step of the way—he absolutely did. The resort itself was beautiful—spotless rooms, breathtaking ocean views, delicious food, and great amenities. VIP Experience Did Not Match What Was Advertised We booked the VIP package through Expedia, and unfortunately the stay did not meet the standards we expected. The resort itself is pleasant and our upgraded room was nice, but the level of service, especially the assigned VIP butler, was far below what was advertised. Our butler, Yajahira, contacted us several times the first night for minor things, but on the day of our hibachi reservation (when she told us she would walk us there), she did not call or follow up at all. She later claimed she was “waiting at the photo station,” which we had never been shown. Because of this miscommunication, we had to ask staff around the property for directions, arrived a few minutes late, and our seats were given away. When we explained the situation, her response was simply, “It’s not my fault.” We did not meet her in person until that moment, which is not the level of service expected with a VIP booking. Additional issues affected our stay: • A constant sewer smell in the bathroom • Cross-contamination at the breakfast buffet with shared spoons • Very limited snack bar options if you don’t eat beef • The 20% spa discount we were told we had did not apply at checkout • Massage therapist noticed a reaction to the scrub and removed it silently before telling us Overall, the resort has potential, but the VIP experience, communication, and service quality did not match what was promised when booking through Expedia VIP. Really nice room. Staff were 50/50 excellent vs not good. Check in was a mess, VIP benefits - I was told one thing but then another. Thought we had reserved seats on the beach / pool and either couldn’t find them or told we were in the wrong area, no one pointed us to the right area. Overall this was a great resort. The staff was very friendly and room service was great. The views were beautiful from every angle. Food could be better in some restaurants, like the buffets.
