"Complicated for no reason."

"I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. My first encounter was with a young man at the front desk. Three questions were asked (with a smile on my face) and three unfriendly answers. I wasn't expecting this, but as we waited to check in, I watched the three young people never smile at approaching guests, including myself and my husband. When I finally was "allowed" to check in, I asked the young man if he was "always this pleasant" to which he replied "yes." Several incidents occurred after...

"The hotel location was excellent, with easy access to bus routes and hop on hop off busses. There is a restaurant in the building if you wish to use it. There is a grocery store next door which was very useful. great street to be on with nice stores. We booked a glass house view room which is in the rear of the hotel and they put us in a patio room which is on the basement level rear. I believe this was an error which I was not able to correct."

"The view from our room was beautiful. The rooms were clean and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. What an incredible stay!"

"The family room was pretty spacious for a hotel room with a bed upstairs and downstairs, but the prices are very steep as we were traveling during a peak month. Our party also rented superior rooms which were pricey but had comfortable beds and showers. The breakfast at the hotel was good with many different options."

"This was a very clean and cute little hotel that suited our purposes well in terms of proximity to some of the last sites that we wanted to see as well as being fairly close to the airport! The loft area was a little in the tiny side, which would be more suitable for kids."

"It was a multi-room hostel so expectations should be managed. Rooms were clean with lockers inside for your valuables. Great vibe in the place. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a few floors above the hostel entrance so constant chatter into the night was not ideal for early morning departure. That said, was an excellent hostel that I can easily recommend."

"Our stay at Alda Hotel was very comfortable. The bed and sheets were exactly to my liking, making for a great night’s sleep. The location is excellent and made it easy to get to our tour bus pickups. Everything you need is within walking distance, and having a Starbucks conveniently located in the hotel was a nice bonus. The hotel also has a lovely restaurant, and I especially enjoyed the cute outdoor hot tub just outside the gym, which also features a nice sauna. The only downside for me was...
