"Phone key did not work for the entrance the entire time of our stay. Had to walk to go get a physical key - fine for me, but hard for elderly parents. No option to deliver the key was provided, which is an inconvenience for $700+ per night hotel room. Otherwise, the hotel room itself was great - remember that there is no elevator."

"Central location. If walking from BSI bus station it’s about 1km and there’s some up and down hills but there’s a closer bus station you just pay a little more for a closer pickup. Very comfortable beds and quiet. Blackout curtains to darken the room completely during the summer. There’s a supermarket right next door."

"Alda hotel was my first stay being my 4 times in Reykjavik. It’s well located in downtown and bus stop 9. Modern design and good amenities around. The staff have been helpful"

"I only have one recommendation for the hotel. In the lobby, change the ringtone at reception. It is the default tone that immediately breaks the vacation mentality and brings one back to the normal grind of every day life"

"Storm is right by stop 12 for the Flybus and a few blocks from all sorts of restaurants and shopping. The hotel was very quiet and beds were comfortable. I wish the curtains had clips to keep out light in this and so many other hotels. Had an early airport departure and they had croissants and coffee available before their breakfast opened although the breakfast buffet looked appetizing sitting there. I would consider staying there again."

"We arrived by private transportation. The staff was friendly, however they promptly communicated that they were overbooked and were going to relocate us to another property. They paid for a taxi to the other location. The other location was adequate. We had planned for the original location based on proximity to the cruise port, shopping and restaurants. We ended up having to walk further for a restaurant and pay more for transportation to the cruise port."
