The staff were the absolute highlight—from the seamless check-in where everything was clearly explained to the friendly bellhops who took great care of our luggage. ​The food exceeded our expectations. The buffet was our favorite due to the massive variety, though the Ribeye at the Steakhouse was a close second. Don’t miss the fabulous carrot cake at the Manhattan restaurant! ​Our room was impressively large. While there is some cosmetic wear and tear (primarily on the flooring) that shows the resort’s age, it’s nothing serious. We even saw active renovations happening throughout the property, which is a great sign. ​Highlights: ​Infinity Pool: Amazing views of the beach with high-energy activities like water polo and "swim Zumba." ​Family Friendly: The children’s center is perfect for younger kids, though teens might find it a bit young. ​Grounds: The gardens and exterior are beautifully maintained. ​Overall, the warm service and great amenities made for a memorable vacation. We will definitely be coming back!"

"I was extremely happy with our stay at Sunscape! I went with another mother and 4 teenagers. We were all entertained and had a fantastic week! The food was amazing! Whether it was the food at the four evening restaurants, the buffet, or the taco bar next to the pool, they all exceeded my expectations! Sunscape was kept very clean. The rooms were immaculate, the grounds were continuously being swept, windows and doors were wiped down and the buffet was constantly being tidied up. The service was phenomenal. Every employee was curtious and wanted to make our experience the best! I was expecting conditioner in the showers in our rooms since I think that is pretty standard. However, the bathrooms just had shampoo and body wash. Sunscape had lots of entertainment during the day at the pool and the beach....volleyball, zumba, ping pong, bags, soccer, etc. However, I wish they didn't put everything away at 5:00. We would have loved to enjoy these things past 5:00. "

"Loved this beachfront hotel. Very secure and regulated entry made us feel safe. The staff were great and attentive. Beautiful pool and areas to lounge by the pool and on the beach. Great poolside snacks and bar. Proximity to great restaurants is fantastic. "

"The best part of this resort was the beach, nice soft sand. Unfortunately we didn't luck out with the best weather but it was ok. They have a good variety of food and no one got food poisoning so that's a bonus. The biggest issue was staff not knowing where things were and we didn't know where to go for events or things to do. For example we asked the staff where an event was at the front desk and they gave the wrong floor. The room cleaning service was late in the day when our little guy was sleeping and one day they didn't show so we asked at the desk for a cleaning and we avoided the room for at least 1.5hrs and when we went up to change they finally showed up so we had to go ask again. Other issues for little ones included stairs in the room for a toddler to fall down and a crib that definitely would not pass safety standards where we are from. Little guy could just climb right out onto our bed. There was also no wild life around to see other than a few birds, mostly pigeons. Shows are too late at night for young kids, start at 9pm. We were also given a room with a king size bed instead of two queen sizes as booked and one of our kids had to sleep on the couch. We discovered the kids zone one our third day and that is nice for kids. Otherwise less family friendly than we had hoped."

" I recently stayed at this resort and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The property itself is quite small, which might appeal to some, but it also means there are very limited amenities and not much to explore or enjoy during the stay. One of the biggest drawbacks was the lack of food options. The menu felt very restricted, and there wasn’t much variety to choose from, which became frustrating over multiple days. My best option was the buffet. The service also left a lot to be desired. The staff did not come across as particularly welcoming or attentive, which made the overall atmosphere feel less comfortable and relaxing than expected. Additionally, the entertainment provided was underwhelming. The shows were repetitive and not very engaging, so there wasn’t much to look forward to in the evenings. Overall, while the resort might suit someone looking for a very quiet and simple stay, it did not meet my expectations in terms of service, dining, or entertainment."

"WARNING: A $184 USD/Night Health, Safety, and Noise Nightmare! DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY. I paid $184 USD per night for a room that failed every basic standard of safety, security, and hygiene. I have uploaded photos and video to document these unacceptable conditions. ​The Major Safety & Security Failures: ​Zero Security in this Room!! The exterior door leading to the public hallway had no deadbolt. It only had a flimsy, bathroom-style privacy lock. As a guest, I felt completely unsafe and exposed in this room. Staff would lighthy tap on door before entering not speaking English. ​Electrical Hazard!: There is an open hole in the balcony ceiling with exposed wiring where a light fixture should be (see photo). This is a blatant building code violation. ​Biohazard in the Shower!: There was zero hot water and no real water pressure even for a cold shower. Worse, the shower does not drain at all (see video). I had to stand in ankle-deep, stagnant drainage filth. Management ignored my reports for my entire three-day stay. ​Additional Neglect: ​Non-Stop Construction: There is major construction next door that was never disclosed. Expect power tools and heavy machinery noise throughout the day. ​Zero Housekeeping: Upon check-in, the bed wasn't even properly made (see photo), and the paint is peeling/bubbling off the walls and shelves. ​Bizarre Setup: Two unplugged lamps were left sitting on the dresser, blocking the TV. ​This property is a health hazard, and security risk!"
