"This is a wonderful hotel for us. As seniors the size is great. The food and staff are amazing.. We have been coming here for 21 years. The only thing that could be improved for us is the access to the pool. The ladder situation for anyone with even slight disabilities is difficult."

"Basic rooms, limited tv channel options, sheets unclean with stains, nail sticking out of bed frame. Rarely hot water, have to run for 15-30 min at times to heat up. Cafeteria staff, EXCELLENT, and included breakfast good. A ling walk to beaches and general amenities/shopping. Biggest issue was HOTEL TRANSPORT. Messaged tge hotel for a quite on private transfer to and from hotel/airport ROUND TRIP. Was super clear that i needed both ways, and told them I previously paid $40USD each way, and if they could come close, I'd book. They quoted me $126, which is substantially higher, but I agreed, so OUR hotel could get the extra $$$. They sent me a payment link, I paid, and THOUGHT we were all set. (3 of us) The night before leaving, I hadn't heard anything, so i messaged to confirm a time for pickup. They acted like they had no idea we needed a ride, and told me to pay another $126USD, and complete payment IMMEDIATELY if we wanted the ride. We ended up calling Carribean Transport services, that charged LESS than 1/2 their price, for a nicer vehicle, and friendlier driver. We left a nice HUGE tip, and would use them again. We go to Playa yearly or twice yearly, and will not stay here again, as it was a scam & letdown all around. There were a few other issues, but this should give you more than enough to avoid this place."

"The rooms are slightly aged and it showed. The room jacuzzi tub is pointless as it would take a year to fill. There is a lot of upsale on sight including in the restaurants. The stake house was not great pumped the air with liquid smoke smell and everything on the menu had liquid smoke on it. The Mexican and Italian Restaurant was okay. "

"Yes, you can find much prettier beaches that don’t have Cozumel out on the horizon! That is the ONLY “complaint” about this place. Phenomenal doesn’t begin to describe the 5 nights my wife and stayed there for our anniversary. Premium liquor (the Don Julio’s is never ending), top shelf food (presentation, portion, and quality), the views and location are incredible! The property is meticulously maintained… the noisiest time is just after sunrise when they are taking the beaches and trimming the… everything. It is so lush with greenery, palms and flowers. The pools, private nooks, hideaways and cenotes are plentiful and we always found a private (ish) sunny spot to lounge and get wet. And someone smiling and helpful always found us to offer another drink as our last one was being finished. Ahhh. Breakfast at the Observatory is a MUST! Breathtaking. The rooms (we had a Club Preferred Ocean Front suite) are incredible, well appointed, and the beds are amazing. The staff… over the top friendly and helpful. Genuine smiles and felt like they were truly happy we stayed with them. All of the restaurants, theater, speakeasy, bars, and the SPA!!! All amazing, all highly, highly recommended. This is how all-inclusive is supposed to be done!!!!"
