Rooms were nice. Food was ok. Pools not heated. Lots of drinks and food not included in all inclusive. The hotel was always trying to up charge you. Resort only had one bar open in evening and it was crowded.

No beach no really no beach at all. Pictures are very misleading. The Landshark restaurant fish and chips (raw fish fries no taste), don’t order the onion rings you get 3 they are hard as a rock. Told the waitress and she talked to the cook and the cook said they’re crispy. Breakfast Buffet was ok hash browns are not that good, scrambled eggs hit or miss each day, ate omelettes everyday. Make sure you get reservations to the steakhouse and Italian restaurant, these two restaurants have a chef and not a cook. I complained to the manager in charge of the restaurant’s and he said he went to all the restaurants and talked to the cooks and he will make sure my food will be good. We left two day’s later. The waiters are great, staff is helpful, if you look at the pictures and think you’re going to sit on the beach and all the restaurants have good food. You will be very disappointed. Don’t waste your time and money.

We have stayed at multiple Margaritaville Resorts. This was the worst experience. We actually thought we rebooked for the same hotel we stayed last time but there are now 2 very close together. The Margaritaville Riviera Maya(adult) and The Margaritaville Cancun ( the family) The Steak house food was inedible. and the menu was limited and out of a lot of choices. The wine list of 60 bottles only had 15 to choose from. The king crab legs for $75 were smaller than snow crab legs and they didn't give any utensils besides a fork to eat them with. No wash cloth or towlettes for hands. There was 1 waiter per section of 25-30 guests. Multiple people left their reservation due to waiting time and service. It took 25 minutes from sitting to be served water or a drink. The events listed on the TV selections were all unavailable. Also multiple listed daily events did not occur. This vacation was just very disappointing after staying in 6 different Margaritaville Resorts that were all amazing including the family location here just down the road. We have always enjoyed the environment, staff, dining and accommodations. Also don't be fooled by the hotel credit. You are only allowed soda, beer, chips and a chocolate bar. We made sure to cash in our 12,500 credits and by them for the staff This has definitely made me rethink my next choice.

Check in was quick and easy with the staff being very friendly. We were there before noon and our room wasn’t going to be ready until 3 but were able to enjoy the resort and its amenities in the mean time. We immediately went to the concierge to book our dinners. We got 3 reservations for our 5 night stay, 2 at the steakhouse and 1 at the Italian. We opted out of the timeshare breakfast presentation the following morning. They did offer us a BOGO on the spa and tours if we did. The hotel was incredibly clean! A little trouble getting our room cleaned after day 2/3 but got it resolved. The rooms were a great size with the bathroom having a shower, huge tub and private toilet. Smaller resort with only a few pools but it never felt overcrowded. Swim up bar staff were phenomenal! Daily activities throughout the day in the beachside pool. Not much of a beach at all. Restaurant staff were a little more reserved. Italian was far superior to the Steakhouse, in our opinion. The free steak was mediocre and the $100 tomahawk we bought on the last night wasn’t worth it. Buffet was always great and the Brewery, Landshark, had great food too! No nightlife really to speak of although we were typically in bed by 10 each night. The credits they gave you for your minibar had limited stock (pop, beer, chips). Cute little coffee bar on site. Spa was phenomenal and had one of the best massages of my life there. The hydrotherapy spa for free an hour before was relaxing.

I will start off with negatives to get off my mind.The pool had large holes in covered by matts that didnt stay in place, my wife cut her foot during foam party(not impressed) who puts a weigh scale in a room of a holiday resort! I really dont need to see if i got fatter on holidays thank you.( and for your information the batteries are dead). I was very put back at a bar tender who looked down at us for tipping 20 pesos,( we where in the pool all day and had given all our bills away. So ungrateful. Unfortunately your resort expects tips, so sad for people that cant afford to tip everyday.) ADD ONS , its an all inclusive, it should all be included!!!! we knew the beach was junk before going from other sources, so not a surprise. To the managers, when your coffee machine is broken dont bring in more staff too run one machine, bring ing more machines and staff to run. 3 people and one coffee machine(dumb) the staff at the coffee shop did well. Thank you. THE GOOD Staff where overall very friendly and attentive. Drinks where good. Room service was amazing. Food was good, would of liked more specialty restraunts. But overall food was good. The activities crew did a wonderful job getting the crowd going, where a lot of fun. Recommend shooter glass making for a craft. Rooms where nice and decor is beautiful. I didnt have a choice between 3 and 4 star but would rate 3 1/2 star. Small resort things get very repetitive.

The staff was nice and friendly. The liquor was watered down. At first I thought it was me but alot of guest agreed.The food menu is slim and serving portions are smaller than other all-inclusives I've visited. I was 4 buffalo wings with multiple visits to Landshark and the menu listed that as sharable. The resort is way off the beaten path. If you desire to venture off the resort I don't recommend this resort unless you have a car rental. The resort is private property and begins about a mile or so down a dirt road That looks like where they dump bodies. If you take like to Uber they aren't allowed on the premises. You have to take the walk of death to the main road. Taxis aren't readily available either.

Facility and staff are good. Food in the Boathouse (main buffet) was my favorite. I liked that they had a different theme every night and food represented that theme. Food everywhere was good. Rooms clean but not much hot water. There is no beach at this resort so if you are wanting one go elsewhere. You cannot swim in the ocean here. Lots of sargassum in the water. If you book a swim up room be prepared for limited sun. Most people with ground floor swim up rooms got chairs around the pools instead. Landshark has evening music but there are no shows like other resorts other than the Mexican show on Mexican theme night. Very strong perfume smell in the main lobby and lobby bar area. Quite overwhelming especially if you have asthma or perfume sensitivity. Pool is very cold and takes a while to get used to. Foam party on Saturday is a lot of fun! Hotel was at 90% capacity so it was hard to find chairs if you didn’t get up early. Nice having two pools with swim up bars. One quieter than the other.

Beautiful resort with great staff! From the first greeting to the final check out, every staff member we encountered was friendly and attentive. The quality of drinks & à la carte options definitively beat other resorts we have been to. Buffet food will always be a little eh - even if you are at a top quality resort. We definitely appreciated having made to order options available all day. Everything was very clean and updated. Room was beautiful, the app was awesome and keeps you informed where everything is happening. We came because of the pickleball courts, luckily we had friends that came so we could play doubles otherwise I would definitely not expect to find tons of pickleball people here. The glow in the dark pickleball night was fun. Angel was so much fun and entertaining when we seen him at the entertainment events. I do wish they had shows and more entertainment options but overall everything else from restaurants to the rooms and staff made up for it. Land shark is definitely the place for à la cart great food so you don’t even have to eat at the buffet. The jwb was delicious as well. Definitely take the time when you arrive to make reservations for the restaurants. We didn’t get reservations for our first two days here. We did 6 days 5 nights and it was perfect. Thank you Margaritaville.

I had a second wonderful stay at Margaritaville! It is a smaller resort with a terrific vibe! There was a great range of ages, and lots to do if that's your preference. All public spaces are impeccably maintained! My room - 462 - was stunning! It was beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean, and had the world's best mattress! Although, there aren't a huge variety of restaurants, I love what they do offer! License to Chill was my go-to spot for lunch and I loved my meals at Frank & Lola's and JWB. I'd like the resort to do away with the reservation system, but I was happy the restaurants offered walk-ins, even during a busy time of the year (New Year's). Another restaurant addition would definitely be a bonus! Similar to my first visit, the team at Margaritaville is exceptional! The staff are hard working, friendly, very customer-service oriented, and are genuinely nice people. They really add to your vacation experience! Staff was phenomenal, Alberto and Maria at the SOS made our stay. Noel in the boathouse and License to chill was great too. Salted rim was fun every time we went. Only complaint would be the reservations for the restaurants. We were only able to get in each once, maybe a couple default reservations for the 2nd and 3rd night at each one for a stay could help that.

First, hot water for shower was limited. At first I thought there was something wrong with our room. I went to the front desk and the lady didn’t seem to care in my opinion. She asked “well is it not working or just not hot?” After having maintenance come to the room, he told me it was at the maximum. I couldn’t even wash my hair because it was cold. I eventually learned you had to take a shower early in the morning or around 3pm, the water was warm at those times. Second, the food reservations were difficult to figure out and they didn’t have many options and we were there for 7 days. Only 2 lunch options and 2 dinner options if you didn’t have a reservation. The buffet was good but getting a drink, even water, was slow and food was cold or limited if you went after 8pm. However, they have awesome desserts all the time! Third, no beach! We didn’t get to enjoy the beach at all. They had a sign posted that the hurricane destroyed the beach and that we could access it at our own risk. It was very dirt and smelly. Fourth, they had a small amount of chairs available in the sun. A couple days they closed seating areas early for private events, which didn’t give us any place to move to unless we wanted to be in the shade and it was chilly. We seemed to be in the way and hurried to be done for the day. I like to lay out until the sun goes away and we couldn’t do that in those days or if we didn’t have good seats. I got up at 6:30 one morning to get chairs and it was gone by 8.

Rooms are great, good luck getting the maid there. We had it done twice in a 7 night stay. Front desk isn't the worst we've experienced, but nowhere near the best. Food is pretty good for the most part, but some days are not too pleasurable. Spa is outrageously priced,so we stayed away. Im pretty sure it wasn't busy. Beach sucks,but pools are good, just freezing.

Great resort and super fun vibe. No there is no beach so that was known going in. Not an issue for us. Plenty of room around the pool and never a long line at the bars. Staff super nice and helpful. Pool was chilly but it was 60 at night over new years so expected. Still got in for volleyball and foam party. Steak place was not great but Italian place was good. Buffet was good. Outdoor lunch buffets were good. Daytime taco bar was good. Pretty quiet at night unless you go to the Landshark bar. Cool bands there and singing. Then dance music. Fun Mexican dancing show one night. Overall just a good time, clean, new resort. Felt it was a good deal for the stay.

Overall, it is a very nice resort. Positives: Good food, all-inclusive, clean, multiple restaurant options, friendly staff, pool activities were very fun, JWB Steakhouse was awesome Could be improved: No beach (and we had no idea), very few of the cocktails tasted as good as they should have, breakfast is buffet only (huge selection but never any bacon, eggs benedict, or huevos rancheros for example)
