"Room for improvement- we liked it but 1) coffee maker but no coffee in the room, 2) balcony sliding door didn’t lock, 3) nozzle on faucet missing and faucet loose, 4) wi-fi needed to be reset twice, 5) wooden chair needed felt pads (terrible and unnecessary noise when moving the chair), 6) bathroom area needs wall hooks. Simple fixes would make it soo much better. Otherwise it was a good deal and we LOVED the cenotes, price was included. "

"The shuttle service is NOT included. It costs $150 each way. Rent a car is you still stay here after reading this. But seriously, do NOT stay here. Could not swim in the ocean. Rocky and full of coral. Even with aqua socks. Everything was beautiful but not functional. The showers went from freezing cold to scalding. No hot water in the kitchen. Uncomfortable seating. Coffee maker didn’t work, was replaced with another broken coffee maker twice. The third one worked but they left the broken...

"The unit itself was good, large enough for the 4 of us and layout was perfect as it was a couple and two others who had the spare room with their own beds. I would give it a better review but there was construction going on constantly right next to the condo building which is a huge turnoff for me as I wanted to relax, hard to do with hammers and noise all day. "the ocean was visible from our room, however the beach was covered in sea weed wich i understand is normal but nothing was done to clean the beach. we enjoyed our pool very much !! the water in the pool became visible dirty after a few days , the same thing happened to the main pool and nothing was being done about it. i think housekeeping needs to step it up."

"Property itself was nice but dated. Looks like they completed a make over but failed to add additional charging outlets in the rooms. The electrical outlet that were located were being used by lamps. outlets and switches were either falling apart or simply broken. Property did not have a children's swimming pool area per sea. It's an older property but very well maintained. Food was to be desired I would give the food a poor rating with very limited choices to make despite it being a buffet style. Staff was friendly and helpful."

Special thanks to: Miguel at La Hacienda as he went above and beyond to bring our son peanut butter every day at breakfast. Every morning he gave us a big friendly smile. "This is our third time visiting the Catalonia Royal Tulum. It’s excellent all around. The staff is professional and attentive. The food is awesome, and the rooms and physical facility are well serviced/maintained. It has one of the nicest beaches in Mexico. If you really want to relax and eliminate all sources of stress, go to the Catalonia Royal Tulum."
