"Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was not squeaky clean but clean enough. It is an older building so keep that in mind, things won’t be new and modern. I didn’t like that all the windows wouldn’t shut - meaning others could look inside and see me. However I didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the room and there wasn’t a lot of foot traffic outside. "We stayed for 5nights and it was great. The view from the hotel period is beautiful you don’t need a ocean front room, we had room 33 lol and it had 3 other rooms on our side with a big balcony it was close to the beach pool bar everything. It’s a great location close to everything! They have hookah at the hotel as well it’s $60.
Just book it, it’s lit, people from the cruise ship stop by that bar and for the view so it gets lit! Very safe! Walkable to everywhere"

"My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in mid June. First, compared to other resorts that are within walking distance of downtown. Avila has the best private beach. There are plenty of beach chairs and palapas. The outside areas are well maintained. The staff was friendly. "Stayed at The Ritz Village for 7 days in their advertised Penthouse Suite. However don’t be fooled by the word Penthouse lol. The room was small very small but the view was Penthouse worthy. They are very stingy with towels and they don’t give you wash clothes so bring your own. I always travel with my own personal items. The service was great, the food just ok but it is in a prime location. If you wanted to you could walk to the mambo attractions. Great stay!"
