It’s incredibly kid-friendly, with a dedicated kids’ center, evening activities for families, and 6–7 pools, so there was always somewhere to swim and play. "There were a lot of construction going on so most of the restaurants were closed when we got there and they combine one restaurant for the buffet and a dinner. They open it for other restaurants which was horrible. The beach was disgusting with the seaweed we could not go on the beach we could not get in the sea in the water."

"We had our first family holiday here and got engaged. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond for us and made the engagement so special. This resort advertises itself as luxury, but it is a cheap, cost-cutting operation that ruins your vacation to save a dollar.We traveled as a large family group with a baby and an elderly relative. "I had a superb winter avoidance break at Bahia Principe. The pre booked transfer with Amstar worked perfectly both ways - just over an hour from Cancun. I opted for the shared transport but was the only passenger on both trips! Really good and competent drivers - if you’re unfamiliar with the locality this is a much better option than renting a car for yourself! The room was fabulous, stocked minibar replenished daily, comfortable bed, clean and spacious shower room, small balcony to relax on...

"Do NOT go here!!!! It is closed!!!! They put you at a different resort which is an adult only with loud music and parties…we got lost twice at night because we could not find where we were actually staying..it was called BETU. Mosquitos bit me all night. Could not sleep. When I discovered everything had been misrepresented and asked to leave and get a refund they denied my request but gave someone else a free night. They have a party for local clubbers and give them free waters and drinks but...

"This hotel was a great stay for a family of 4. We rented the two bedroom apartment and it was huge. It had its own pool, which was very small, but did allow us to sit in our own private pool space. The property was clean and well maintained. The staff was so friendly and attentive they greeted us with smiles every time we walked onto the property. "We were a party of 6 adults requiring 3 rooms and ranging in age from 19 to 62. If you are not a fan of resorts and do not mind not being directly on the beach, then this place is for you. The accomodations are unique and well-maintained, the food is top-notch, the staff is friendly and approachable, and the location is convenient to everything we wanted to see and do. (We rented a 7-person car through Alamo.) Dinner on the night of our arrival was outstanding but expensive -- over $400...

"Everything is an extra cost. Breakfast is limited. Rooms have sand in and on arrival. No facilities to shower in after checkout. We were also not told about bug spray being an extra charge - we were STUNG badly at checkout. The guy who showed us to our room said it was all complementary on the coffee table … it’s not."
