"This "hotel" is completely unacceptable, first and foremost because there was no smoke alarm in the room, only the base attached to the wall where the smoke alarm had been. There were some workmen on the property, I spoke to them then waited 2.5 hours, no smoke alarm. There was also a used razor blade on the shower floor and hair all over the place, but that was not a hazard to life like the lack of a smoke alarm in an old wooden hotel undergoing renovation. "We enjoyed breakfast overlooking the ocean and surfers. Our room had a bit of an ocean view and a large private lanai on the front of the home(great spot to eat our take out sushi one night) The owners and managers thought of everything! We would recommend this place to our friends."

"We are given Cabin 1 and there was no lighting outside and the bathrooms were a 3 min walk away in the dark. I feel and hurt my knee trying to use the bathroom at night, this caused me alot of discomfort for the rest of my stay. This part of the island is wet, and rain is common. There is mud that makes the ground dangerous to walk on. I would not recommend this place due to safety concerns. "

"Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable and television worked. Everything was good. I didn't hear my neighbors. There is a shared lounge area where you can eat or sit and relax. Lots of snacks provided. Beach chairs, beach mat and beach towels were available. "

" Carl was a wonderful host, immediately taking time to give loads of info to make the best of our stay Kona. The room was beautiful, the lanai facing the water. The breakfast was delicious both mornings we were there.The hosts provided beach towels, lots of beach and snorkeling gear. The only downside was that we were there for just 2 nights! "
