"Highlights and lowlights: The highs: - beautiful resort, mature greenery, large circular pool is amazing - serene vibes - serenity check-in and lounge were nice upgrade as well as the serenity access to more restaurants and pool/gym - staff were friendly. Butler Denisee was delightful and helpful everyday - sunsets from outdoor lounge - specialty drinks at the mixology corner 14/50 were the best and Mariana was a skilled mixologist - rooms were well appointed and spacious; large decks; comfy beds; good a/c and fan - the beach hammocks Lows: - food was average at best; Olios was our favorite spot and the higher quality offering. We had higher expectations so we would give resort food a 3 out 5 overall - if you are unlucky to be in building number 1, then you have the construction of a large new hotel right next door. At first we had a room here but as soon as we arrived there was construction noise and the staff quickly arranged to have us moved to another building - at our request. Also, a tractor goes by once daily to remove some of the beach sargassum but for some reason never did so in front of building 1 so the outlook is not as ideal or as advertised."

"We did enjoy the staff, the people working at the resort very kind. The resort however, was not great. The food was horrible. Every restaurant had issues. Some restaurants had a sewage type smell when you first walk in. The wait for food at the restaurants 40 minutes minimum. The restaurants were out of food in the food that did come out was tough parentheses steak, and just not good. The staff gave us a bottle of wine and a dessert as a apology for how the property have been letting us down, and ants got into the room and ate the cake. I have pictures. We will not be returning. We were very hopeful because of the renovations that took place earlier in the year, but there were so many things broken at this resort. The elevators are broken. The escalators were broken. The pools were dirty, they had actual trash in the pools. Also, there was really no reliable way to get to the hotel zone from the resort. I didn’t realize how far the resort was from everything else."
