This was our second stay at TRS Yucatan and we’re very happy with our stay. Our butler Alberto was exceptional. He went above and beyond to make our vacation special for us. Other exceptional staff include Daniel and Hector who were very helpful with rides around the resorts and helping out with our luggage. We were very happy with the resort and the food, drinks and amenities were still outstanding. However, coming back we noticed a few things that we wish had not changed. The hydro circuit used to be a perk of TRS and now is an upcharge. The amount of upcharging at the resort now is a bit underwhelming. Also, the quality of the food at El Gaucho was very disappointing. There was better steak at the other à la carte restaurants we tried. The Italian, French and Mediterranean restaurants were all very good. The best restaurant service by far was at Caprichio. The staff were the most attentive and friendly. The venue at Helios was very nice but Caprichio had the better food and service.

This resort was amazing. It was like they had thought of every detail. The whole resort was immaculately clean inside and out. The pools the beaches were gorgeous with tons of seating. There was a sargassum problem this week, however the resort staff were cleaning it continually and the beach was quite usable in places. The resort was so spacious, we walked all the time and always something fun to see, including lots of wildlife. There were shuttles running all the time for people that didn’t want to walk. The food was delicious, with many different places to eat. We especially loved the Japanese Show Cooking, and the cafe. We participated in many activities. Painting with Liz was a highlight. We also loved Bar Tending Lessons and Sushi making! The nightly entertainment was so much fun! The White Party and Tacos and Tequilla were not to be missed! We would go back to this resort in a heartbeat!

I’d highly recommend anyone come to this resort. There is truly something for everyone. The property is massive and it has a lot to offer. I would recommend the staff explain in more detail upon arrival of its guests all of the amenities available & how to get there. However, the staff members were always happy to answer our questions. We had an incredible time!

The resort is massive and the VIP experience through Expedia gave us all access to more activities and restaurants than we could get to in a week. The staff and concierge services were incredible, shout out to Omar, and the balance between family friendly and exciting atmosphere was perfect. Would love to come back as soon as possible.

Great resort property and staff. Rooms were clean and public bathrooms were always very clean and well stocked. Food and restaurant selection very good. Juan and Jesus at the Sumptuori restaurant were excellent, friendly, hard working and funny. The Mexican restaurant is very ethentic dining so if your used to Canadian and Americanized Mexican then this is not the restaurant for you. The sports bar is open 24 hours and offers a great atmosphere and good appy style pub snacks. It’s a hidden gem. Omar our concierge was top notch.He consistently amazed us. We were a group of 8 with four rooms. He knew everyone’s sir names and room numbers without us reminding him. It’s so nice to be able to explore the other resorts while staying at Colonial. Thank you.

We've been to this resort multiple times over the past 15 years. The staff and resort grounds are excellent! Staff are so friendly and willing to serve. Unfortunately, the hotel services (rooms) are really showing their age. We had guests that did not have hot water for 2 days, a tv that was replaced after three sevice visits, remotes that did not work, a shower faucet that broke off causing water problems. We personally had a water leak from the ceiling that began in our bathroom. We ultimately had to moved from our room at 23:00. I'm not sure we'll return again due to the room issues. Sad, you pay a premium for this resort. They need to dedicate a portion of their revenue into room upgrades, or they will continue to lose long term customers.

Very big resort, and the busses will take you anywhere you want to go. Has 3 different vibes, the family/kids pool, the mostly adult pool, and the only adult pool. The drinks were very good, and the food was also really good. I would highly recommend trying the restaurant Helios as it was our favorite. The Italian restaurant Portofino may have been having an off night, because it was not very good and they didn't let you order appetizers???? Quite strange, but overall still a great experience and would highly recommend!!!!

The staff was amazing ester kept our room fully stocked and cleaned. Staff in general was just amazing they made sure you felt like vip all trip. Can’t thank them enough for letting us enjoy our stay at an amazing resort.

Had problems with TV working on 3 consecutive days. they finally replaced the TV. Had problems with the screen door on the deck...tough to move without taking it off the tracks. Had problems with our Shower. Shower nob broke off while I was attempting to turn on the shower. They fixed it promptly. Then it was started leaking so they replaced a gasket. Water was turned on and off during our stay a couple times, aside from our problem. And electricity went off and on about a 1/2 dozen times during our stay. The couple we went with had to change rooms on day 6 because water was leaking through their ceiling into the bathroom. Entire staff was remarkably prompt and friendly, always accommodating and I'd give their service an absolutely outstanding. But they're failing their guests with a poor product now. Been their about 9 years earlier and had none of these room issues.

The facilities are very nice. The room needed some updates like the bed. When we got there the bed was visibly sunken in one side. We requested this is be addressed. They came And made some adjustments but by the end of our stay it was again sunken. It definitely needed a new bed. The cleaning staff did a great job. Something we did find disturbing was there wasn’t much sound insulation. Every time someone opened or closed their door it sounded right in the room. It had a nice balcony which added to the room. I also have celiac disease and the food was amazing. They always asked if there were any allergies and would offer a tour with the chef if desired. The only thing that I found was missing were snacks. I light to have something salty at times and there was nowhere to purchase these that didn’t cost a fortune. The resort did not provide this type of thing. There are some stores in the resort but a bag of chips cost 15$ usd. Every night there was great entertainment. We had a very nice time and do recommend this resort.

All the resorts were very clean and well taken care of, the staff was amazing and extremely helpful. The food was very good at most the restaurants. We enjoyed our stay with them.

The room and overall stay were very good. The beach was clean, although there was some seaweed during our visit. We did notice trucks actively working to remove it, which was appreciated. There was a great selection of swimming pools, all of which were clean with plenty of seating available. I highly recommend booking restaurant reservations ahead of your stay, as many were already fully booked when we arrived. Transportation between the adjoining resorts was somewhat inconsistent. If you are staying at Colonial or Kantenah, be aware that most of the transportation seemed to prioritize TRS, White Sands, and Family Selection. The buffets offered a large selection, especially at breakfast. Each room includes a minibar, which was convenient. Most staff members speak both English and Spanish, though Spanish is more commonly spoken. They offered family-friendly shows suitable for all ages, which was a nice touch. There is some sales pitching on-site; it was not pushy, but it is present. The resort is about an hour from Cancun Airport, and airport transportation was $225 one way. I would recommend arranging transportation in advance or contacting the hotel to see if they can assist with transfers. Overall, it was a good stay with a few things to plan ahead for to make the most of your visit.
