Grand Sunset Princess - All Inclusive

8/10 Good

"I wish all inclusive actually meant all inclusive these days. Premuim drinks aka top shelve and room service are not inclusive. Check-In: Check in was quick staff was helpful. Grounds: Not a plus or a minus but, the hotel is very large and walking to your room is a trek. Room: Room was as seen in pictures, the refridgerator didn't wor kso they replaced it right away. The bath tub didn't run hot so I couldnt take a bath and the nozzle was broken. There was also a hole in the wall where they ran electricaqls, they just covered it with a mirror. The beds are hard if you like that kind. The ac was a god send. Facilities & restaurants : Reccommendation: make reservations for at least 1 restaurant when you check in and the spa, note: you can only reserve dinner up to 2 days in advance and 1 per day. So monday for wed/tues for thur etc. Go to the concierge early. Food was great in the buffets and the 24 hour sports bar was adequate. Each buffet had a good selection for any pallet. Pools: Plenty to choose from, but the water was far too warm for that climate. Beach: Easily accessible with bar, we came in peak sargassum season (seaweed) but the first few days the beach workers cleared it as best they could. By friday the sargassum was too much and made the beach not so appealing, aesthetic-wise not so great (not the hotels fault). Too many shady vendors wanting to sell stuff and far too interested in my belongings, stay vigilant."

"Great property and staff. The beach had seaweed but there were good days and we enjoyed swimming, snorkeling and playing volleyball. The food was great and fruit options plentiful at the buffets. The desserts could use some improvement. The bus that takes u around doesn’t show up very regularly and u can east half hour waiting for it. I"

"Great food and good services. Please make sure you are aware of the hours of each read they are not open all at the same time. Also, please follow instructions exactly as mentioned on the email for the pickup to get to the right place. The water park is awesome for the kidsz"

Barceló Maya Riviera - Adults Only - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"This was an absolutely wonderful resort and from beginning to end our experience was amazing! The room, the view, the pools, the beach, just everything was gorgeous. There’s 4 restaurants that are reservation only, there’s a buffet, and two pool bars. The food on the menu, or at least what we tried, were not bad at all. The selection at the buffet was pretty wide. One of pool bars played music and had activities for guests like water aerobics, dance lessons, and sports/games. There’s also 5 other resorts on this property under Barcelo and they offer shuttle service every 20mins if you want to visit them. We were told that if you book with the Maya Riviera Adults Only we can access all the amenities at the other resorts. We went to the Maya Palace and it was really nice there too. On the way there, we went to the mall and casino. Lastly, we want to commend the staff for their excellent service. Everyone was kind, ready to help with a smile, just beautiful people. 10 out 10 experience, highly recommended! Thank you!"
