First day, upon arrival around 5pm the room we were given was not ready, the bed sheets were still stripped off the bed and it hadn't been cleaned. So we had to go back to the front desk and get another room. We booked an excursion to Xelha via the resort's activity center and was told to bring our own towel. We of course didn't have our own towel as the resort provided this, begged for a towel that we can bring but no luck, only to find out that Xelha provides FREE towel. This is something their activity center or their concierge should know by now as Xelha is one of their major attractions they offer for years! Their ala cart dinner places were also limited, you get to chose from 2 a night aside from the buffet.
On a plus side, their buffer or restaurant staff were always friendly, some went above and beyond. The resort is also close to Playa Carmen 5th ave, 150 Pesos and you're there via taxi. Overall we enjoyed our stay due to the wide, white-sand, beach front really made up for all the little hiccups we experienced and their friendly staff at the restaurants. Would come back just for the beach alone!
