One year ago we stayed at the El Dorado Royale, and that property had three resorts on it - beautiful, but a lot of walking. The El Dorado Maroma had a much better beach, but the property with the Royale and the Casitas had more pools. We enjoyed that this resort was smaller and had less people, but still had all the great restaurants, entertaining shows, and the staff went out of their way to get us whatever...

"The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. The room was clean and had a nice large balcony. All of the food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. This was likely due to our rooms proximity to the main building, but very loud music played past midnight every night making it difficult to sleep. All in all, we had a really wonderful time and highly recommend staying at Ocean Maya Royale. "

A pool, bounce houses, a trampoline, electric cars, a campfire, and they even got to play with the resident bunny, ducks, and chickens. The staff was also extremely kind and helpful making the kids food to order throughout the day and always finding things to entertain them. We didn't have our own car, but they happily drove us to local cenotes and even helped pick up a friend who needed a ride...
