"This was our second time at this resort. We love the beach here. The staff are nice. The music after dinner in the plaza is a nice touch for those of us who go to bed earlier than the shows. The food here is quite good for all inclusive. But the bartenders are terrible, you cannot get a decent mixed drink. My wife and I tried something every day from various bars but settle for wine or a straight alcohol on the rocks that a bartender can’t screw up. Even Don Miguel which seems to be a martini bar does not make a decent cocktail, I tried every day. "

"The room, property, and amenities were all great. The staff were absolutely incredible! Shout out Paulino and Vanessa. We don’t remember everyone’s names but they were all super helpful and next level hospitality. We arrived and they had a charcuterie board in the room and refilled bottle water regularly as well as coffee pods. We went to playa Del Carmen for most of our groceries and we also visited Puerto Morelos nearby for lunch/shopping and to pick up some more items. We took taxis for both travels and they arrange it through concierge. Jade boutique had grocery, deli, coffee shop and touristy items as well. Restaurants are very expensive around Vidanta especially with the CDN conversion but room service and pool side wasn’t as pricey. Woodfire pizza was delicious. We enjoyed the water park, Cirque du Soleil show and crocodile/flamingo tour on the property. Wonderful holiday 👌☀️ "

"El Dorado Maroma is one of if not the best all inclusive resorts I have been ever been to. The food was exceptional; the grounds and facilities were impeccable and all the staff was fantastic. My husband and I were also impressed by the quality of the musicians and entertainers that performed at the resort. The mexican party on the beach was really special and the mariachi band was outstanding. The included catamaran tour with snokeling on the nearby reef where we got to see an impressive amount of tropical fish and aquatic creatures like sea turtles and rays was one of the highlights of our stay. We also appreciated that it was easy to get seating anywhere on the grounds (around the pools and on the beach) without having to reserve a spot early in the day and the covered sun beds were available at no extra charge. The beach was beautiful and, although there was an obvious sargassum (seaweed) problem in the area, the resort cleaned the beach daily to remove most of it and minimize the impact the seaweed could have had on the enjoyment of the beach. The main pool was great although it could get quite loud at certain times of the day so having another quieter pool was nice. We particularly enjoyed the yoga sessions but were disappointed that they were not offered daily. My only complaint was that the fees for a massage or other treatments at the spa were very high (more than twice the price of a similar treatment back home) and this dissuaded us from using their services. "

"First day, I found a cockroach in the washroom. Very peaceful. I read the review that the food is very nice and delicious. I dont think the food is nice. My last night, the drunk guests was yelling and screaming in the halkway that I woke up at 2am. I complained to the resort. It seems they dont really care "

"We found a stay overall relaxing and enjoyable, but there are a few things that make the resort lacking. The pool does have an incredible view but there is only one pool with limited loungers and daybeds - we were always able to secure one. There was public and private beach access, but no loungers or staffing. If you need to use a daybed or lounger down to the beach, the staff would have to bring it out to you. Access to the public beaches are through a side alleyway that goes down into a tented massage area with rocks and seaweed and overall it’s not a good experience to get down to the beach. Not very easily accessible, if you are handicapped or impaired in someway. The food is a set menu which you would expect to be a higher quality, but we found the food to be at most times bland and simple. The menus are repetitive with not much variety for the breakfast menus in particular. They often did not have items in the menu or even drinks that were advertised. That being said, it was nice to not have the hustle of a buffet. We found the room spacious and inviting spacious housekeeping did an excellent job to keep it clean we did have an issue where the room got too humid due to the AC not working after messaging concierge. This was resolved the next day. This resort lacks amenities, such as a gym or other places to hang out. We did find the pool table and darts fund but the areas are not very big or inviting - think hallway. Overall, we had a good and relaxing time. "
