"Starting with what is great...location, parking, and breakfast! Just a few things to know...if you are traveling with older kids, the family suite with the two twin beds is not really ideal for kids older than maybe 11. The two twins are put together to make a king against a wall (so one kid has to climb over another for any middle of the night needs). The room is cute and would be great for young kids. It's about a 30-minute walk to the waterfront and not too difficult with hills. Re: parking,...

"The 1970s look and feel, and yet the contemporary amenities and food and service, just made for such a fun and relaxing stay. We're a couple with two younger teenage kids, and this place was perfect. Add in the trolley service and the walking tour of the neighborhood, and it was excellent value. It felt more like a resort than a hotel. Highly recommend."

"The hotel is perfect walking distance to Universal Studios. The hotel was fine, but we were disappointed in some small features of the room: 1. bathrooms do not have fans 2. The windows in the room do not open at all for fresh air. 3. The in room coffee is not good Also, the hotel is undergoing a major remodel, which was not disclosed when we made the reservation."

"Very nice and secluded"

"When we arrived, there was no available parking. The parking lot is extremely small, with only about a dozen spaces, so my fiancé went inside to ask where we could park. We were told to park across the street because it was “free all-day parking.” The surrounding area already felt a little sketchy, so we weren’t very comfortable leaving our vehicle there. We later found out it was transit parking with no security cameras, which made us even more uneasy. The woman we spoke with at the front desk...

"Staff was helpful. Room is good, comfy bed, but towels seemed a bit grungy. Area was quiet at night, so slept well. You have to ask for things constantly, no remote in room, then needed clean towels, then housekeeping skipped me, then no hot water 1 morning, no refresh on coffee pods & creamer, etc…"

"Check in was easy and we were able to get in a bit early. Staff friendly!"

"The staff at check-in were friendly, and the location was convenient, about 20 minute walk to City Walk. However, our room had some maintenance issues, including mold in the room corner, peeling paint, and a broken electrical cord and the pool was not heated, as stated. I've included photos so future guests can see what we experienced."

"ok....so this little Inn is perfect. The location is amazing. The price is incredible. The Inn is safe and quiet. No, it's not glamorous and it's not the Ritz-Carlton and the rooms aren't large, but for the price I was astounded. The rooms are immaculate and there is cleaning service and parking. Perfecto."

"We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and had a great experience. The staff were all very friendly, the rooms were clean, and the location was excellent. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to LA!!"

"Overall a very cute place to stay. King suite room was like a mini apartment. Lots of room and a full kitchen. Parking was extremely tight. If you have a large vehicle or truck be ready for that. They could use some black out curtains on their windows. To much sunlight coming in. And the kitchen AC unit did not blow out cold air. It was a 20-25 minute drive to downtown LA. So it served its purpose for us. Would stay there again if we were in a pinch for a room close to LA."

"The only complaint I had is the noise from upstairs at night and in the morning. Some airplanes noise but less a problem."

"They need a better pool set up with more service. They serve cold pre packaged food and a very limited amount of drinks. Also I had to call for them to unlock the pool bathrooms when the pool opens at 6 am and no one opened them till 11 am."
