The hotel is very nice and the staff is outstanding. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. The food was just okay, but had enough options so that you could always find something you liked. This is not a party hotel and there is no music blaring at the pool. You can relax, read and really enjoy yourself. The pool is large but sometimes there are a lot of kids in the pool. You are able to go to the adult pool on the roof to find some quiet. We like the more remote location and rent golf cart to get around.

We are really disappointed! We got our room and had really strong smell of vinegar in the bathroom and floor cleaner in the room. We called the front desk and we were told that they will move us to a new room. We kept asking the front desk about the new room and they told us that it was going to be a just a few minutes and they were going to call us. After 2 hrs of the same story we went downstairs to the front desk and they finally gave us the key to the new room. When we got to the new room it smelled like wet rag. One of the chairs was soaking wet. We got a two queen side beds instead of the kings size we reserved. There was only 1 restaurant in the property and doesn’t have much options on the menu, the taste was not the greatest and was expensive. We enjoyed the pool and the beach in front of the hotel.

The room was clean and spacious, but the hotel is not the greatest. Small selection of food, no amenities, some servers were very nice, others seemed like they did not care. The beach is very small, the water is full of seaweed and not swimmable.

The best thing is the staff, they were all amazing. Carlos was very fun, super attentive and helped me practice my Spanish. Dario at the front lobby was fun, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was mediocre. The first two days it was al la carte which was a bit better. The buffet was okay, they did have a station to have ano lette made fresh. We had dinner one night which was not great and overpriced. The hotel next door has a much better restaurant for the same price or cheaper.

La habitación y la vista es espectacular!! Sin embargo amanecí con una cucaracha en mi cama. Fue una experiencia muy desagradable. Que vino arruinar todo! Cuando les mostré la evidencia solo comentaron que lo revisarían con Gerencia sin tomarse mi comentario en serio.

All-inclusive was very good and plentiful. Room was large with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. The infinity pool was very nice and pool bar service was excellent.

Our stay was amazing! We got an ocean view room with a private plunge pool. The pool was heated, but not hot tub temperature. Staff was absolutely amazing!

We cannot say enough great things about The Izla Beach Front Hotel. Even before we arrived, they were very helpful & quick to respond to our requests for assistance . They helped arrange airport-ferry-hotel transportation and, after we experienced several flight delays, they were gracious enough to communicate with the shuttle service about our changes in arrival time. Once we arrived, the beauty of the hotel and its location were immediately evident. Perfectly positioned towards the southern end of the island, away from the busier northern end, we felt at peace right away. We highly recommend the all-inclusive package if you plan on sticking around the hotel for most of your trip as we did. It was well worth it. This brings us to our favorite part of our vacation: The hotel staff. Always pleasant; always friendly. They made us feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. Something we haven’t experienced much even traveling domestically. We honestly can’t say enough about them. We wish we could remember all of their names, but frequency brings memory. At breakfast and lunch, Crisandra & Sharon greeted us as we entered the Izla Cafe. Upon being seated, we were once again welcomed by Gerardo, Carlos, Rodrigo, or Russel, but usually all four. They greeted us like old friends each time. In the evening, Jose Luis was there to make sure our dinner needs were met. Speaking of needs, Virgilio & Reyes were more than happy to oblige ours at the poolside bar. We can’t wait to return.

I stayed at Izla Hotel last year with a friend. We had an amazing time and no complaints. This year I went with some other people, hoping we would get the same experience. We did the all-inclusive and enjoyed all of the food and drink drinks that we had. The staff were lovely, especially the bartenders. They really went out of their way to get to know us and make sure that we had a great time. The beds were comfortable and we slept well

The hotel was very clean and in a perfect location right on the beach. The staff were very welcoming/friendly and most were always very helpful. However there were a couple of staff members who were quite rude and dismissive which was very disappointing!! But we would like to mention Josue (rooftop bar) who was AMAZING and very friendly and accommodating!! We had a foul smell coming from the bathroom, so after complaining the staff were very apologetic and immediately upgraded us to an ocean view room. The only negative to this hotel was the food. It quickly became very repetitive and boring as it was pretty much the same food every day/night as part of the all inclusive package (all inclusive menu was different to the normal menu with very limited choice!!). And we didn’t even know about the special dishes when there was an Italian night. I think the hotel management should review their food and have more buffets in the evening and different types of dishes as it quickly became apparent that most of the guests were eating out and the restaurant was empty most evenings. Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay at this hotel.

Really nice room with a beautiful sea view. The beach and the water are disappointing, the weeds need to be removed and more white sand please.

I stayed for 3 nights. The staff was very polite, and everything looked very clean. The room was spacious and very nice. The beach is not that great, so I only swam in the pool, which was wonderful. We also traveled to Playa Norte for a better beach experience. The only thing I didn’t like about this hotel, and probably the reason I wouldn’t come back, is that I was given a room close to the entrance. My room was probably the sixth one from the lobby, and I could hear a lot of people talking loudly during the night, as well as the neighbors next to me. I even heard the couple next door arguing outside their room around 2 a.m., which was very sad. Since sleep is a priority for me during vacation, this was a big issue. All three nights I didn’t get a good night’s sleep. Maybe if I had a room on the second or third floor it would make a difference, but on the first floor and so close to the lobby it was very noisy, both in the morning and at night. Other than that, the hotel was very good. Even though I really liked the hotel, resting and getting good sleep during my vacation is a priority for me, so I probably wouldn’t stay here again.
