"Is oyster bay a 5 start resort. No it is not, its a solid 4, maybe 4.3. Its fairly clean. The food was good. The staff were pretty helpfull. But it does lack the fine points that a true 5 star needs. And i am far from some a spoiled traveler. "The hotel staff is wonderful! They were very kind and always eager to help. The hotel property is in serious need of updating. My first room was in desperate need of repair, the curtains were dirty on the bottom, the shower was moldy and the fridge was hot. I was then transferred to another room over 24 hours later. That room was better but still not clean, floor had footprints and there was still the mildew smell. The fridge was warm in that room also. "

After moving rooms we noticed a mildew smell, another roach and the bedding had stains on it. This is the same resort that has you sign a document being responsible for staining their linens and getting charged $250 but the linens already had noticeable stains.
