"The hotel was lovely my problem here is with Expedia. As a platinum member I was given NO reason why I was moved from my original hotel, I feel I was downgraded. Expedia has yet to apologize or explain the reasoning. I was booked in a suite in the family area of Hotel Xcaret Mexico, I was told by Expedia I was in the upgraded adult area, this was not the fact. My original property was a 5 star all adult resort. I HAD to upgrade my stay which cost me $2000 additional dollars to be in the adult...

The food is mostly buffet style but you do have the options to eat at one of their specialty restaurants for dinner if buffet isn’t your style. "The hotel was okay, nothing out of the ordinary. I think it is very overpriced for what they offer. The gym didn’t even have something as basic as cold water, and the coffee machine in the room had small insects in it. There wasn’t much variety of drinks available — only basic options — compared to other hotels I have stayed at before, where I paid much less than for this hotel. Overall, this hotel was not what I expected for the price I paid."

"While the party atmosphere is good, it wasn’t without any problems. There is lots of room for potential here. Food was just OK. And rooms definitely need a lot of upgrading. Staff especially concierge seems to have no clue As far as pricing. We had an issue one day with that took forever to get resolved, but finally was. A little pricey, wish it was less m, but we were celebrating our 30th year anniversary and wanted to make sure it was top notch and we definitely received top notch service and we definitely had that and more!
