"The Petersham was a perfect stop on our longer journey. The hotel is in a beautiful and walkable area of Richmond, close to the river, shops, pubs and restaurants. The hotel itself clearly has a lot of history and as such is an older building. When we visited it was incredibly hot and the hotel has no air-conditioning except in the restaurant. "Excellent service, warm welcome. Plates and cutlery loaned for our takeaway from a local restaurant. Early check-in offered as rooms were ready. This really helped my octogenarian mother who'd had a long drive up to London. Wifi excellent access. Location superb for tube and buses and all the different food and drink venues. Everything was clean. One of our 2 rooms is beginning to show signs of wear and tear but I've no doubt it's on their list of renovations. "
